Fiberbase Gelatin on Doubleweight Paper, Giclee Printing

Minimum order is 2 prints. Our fiberbase Gelatin media is "Museo Silver Rag" made by the Crane paper company. This is a brand new type of Giclee printing paper for fine art photography. It's base is 100% acid free and its coating is specially designed to hold and protect the pigmented inks just below the semigloss surface. This Premium (translate:expensive) paper makes prints that have the look and feel of fine art photography's black and white, air dried glossy, on a double weight fiber based paper. The surface of this wonderful paper does not really have any silver in it, it is called that because it is barely distinguishable from the paper that Ansel Adams (and many other world famous photographers) preferred for their fine art prints. The properties of this paper give the blackest blacks and the brightest whites all without any added optical brighteners. The separation in the entire greyscale in the images made on this paper are nothing short of glorious! These prints are made at 1440 or 2800 DPI. (Add 20% for 2880 DPI) Black and white images can be toned to simulate sepia or selenium chemical toning or you can choose cool to warm tone greys. But here is the really interesting part, Color prints are made on this paper too, and they are the most brilliant, sharp and saturated prints we have ever seen! The only color prints that looked this good (IMHO) were the old Kodak Dye transfer prints that were made by fine art printers from about 1969 to 1990, the surface is similar too. We think prints made on this paper look best when museum mounted on 4 ply, 100% cotton rag, acid free board. Please ask for quote on mounting If you want white boarders on your prints, then add the boarders to the image size to get the overall size print to order.

. Set up fee includes up to 2 proof prints on Museo Silver Rag paper, additional proofs (with adjustments) are $19. Proof prints will arrive with notes about printer settings and other terms written on them and are for the approval process only, not for exhibition. The final proof becomes a BAT (bon a tirer) and is the property of Giclee4artists. When an ""Edition*" of 6 or more prints is ordered , the BAT proof print and an archival gold CD will be kept in a dark-storage archive (included in the price) and no setup fee will be required for subsequent editions from that image. After the BAT print is approved and a print run is ordered, The actual signed BAT must be in our possession for the printing process to begin.
